ACADEMIC AWARDS

In 2006, our club established a financial award for a university student studying in the area of environmental sciences and planning to pursue a career in environmental conservation and protection.  The Janet Pattinson Shuswap Naturalist Club Award is now available to Thompson Rivers University (TRU) students attending the third year of their Bachelor of Natural Resource Science program. Priority is given to students from the Shuswap area. Funding for the award is administered by the Shuswap Community Foundation, and TRU choses the recipient.
