LOCAL NATURE NEWS
Save Shuswap Songbird Committee
Is anyone is interested in breathing life into this committee and heading up a group of interested members? We need to get more information out to the public about indoor cats as an option and ways to protect and encourage birds. Please let Janet Aitken know if you are interested.
Beware of Scam Website!
A scam has been brought to our attention. Beware — “birdsanctuaryofshuswap@gmail.com” is asking for e-transfers to support the building of a new sanctuary in the Larch Hills. No such activity is taking place to the best of our knowledge and the website is based in Kansas. We noted numerous errors as well as misidentified bird photos showing species that do not occur in this part of the world. Requests to have the site removed have been sent to the appropriate authorities.
