We will explore several areas along the Shuswap River from Grindrod north towards Mara Lake. There should be many species of waterfowl on the river and adjacent farmlands. If the water is clear, we may be able to see First Nations salmon weirs in the river at Wildflight Farms. Bring lunch and light-duty hiking shoes. We will return to Salmon Arm by about 3 p.m.

Leaders will be John and Marcia Woods, and Doug Mongerson (tentative). Meet at the Junglemania Parking Lot in Salmon Arm at 8:30 a.m. to organize carpooling.

Difficulty Rating DR-1 (Easy), short walks along rural roads. Bathrooms are available at Wildflight Farms and Grindrod Community Park. Bring a lunch and water.
